So I am constantly coming up with little tandem play scenarios like this that briefly convince Ruby they're playing together without disturbing Q too much. She is so ecstatically happy for a few moments, but then she figures it out and starts grabbing Quinn's stuff again and the fragile detente crumbles.
It seems like I spend 90 percent of my time running interference these days. The secret is making sure the kiddos don't notice it!
